Where to Ask First
Use the Caldwell County Jail and Sheriff directory for current custody and booking-routing questions. Use the sheriff or arresting police department for an incident report or agency-held photograph. Use the court clerk for the case file and disposition. Use Kentucky DOC KOOL for a state-custody profile. These offices can have different records for the same event.

How to Send a Records Question
Call the office first and ask for its records custodian or preferred delivery method. A written Kentucky Open Records Act request should identify the full name, approximate date of birth if known, booking or arrest date, agency, case or booking number, and exact record requested. Ask for the booking record and photograph separately, request electronic copies when available, and ask for a fee estimate. See KRS 61.872 for the statutory framework.
The custodian may need to redact or withhold material under KRS 61.878. This guide cannot predict whether a photograph will be released or when a complex request will finish. Keep the request, delivery date, response, fees, and any exemption explanation.
Corrections and Removal Questions
If an outside page is wrong, first compare it with the originating jail, arresting agency, and court. Save the URL and publication date. After a court order or agency correction, use the host’s direct free correction process. Busted Newspaper has a remove-a-listing form. RecentlyBooked describes a no-fee policy. Mugshots.com has a record-maintenance path. For a source governed by Kentucky’s KRS 61.8746, read the statute or seek advice from a Kentucky attorney. Do not pay an intermediary that promises guaranteed removal.
What This Guide Cannot Answer
- It cannot confirm whether someone is currently jailed or wanted.
- It cannot release a person, post bond, arrange visitation, or send money.
- It cannot create a certified court record or give legal advice.
- It cannot guarantee a phone number, address, fee, or third-party page is current.
- It cannot host or send an individual booking-photo gallery.
Do not send an emergency or safety report through this website. Use 911 for an emergency and the official nonemergency number for local routing.
Site Contact and Privacy
For a question about a page’s wording or a broken link, use the contact method provided by the site owner or the project’s hosting arrangement. Do not send a Social Security number, medical information, full identity document, or unrelated legal file. The site does not need private documents to explain where a public record may be requested. See Privacy for information handling and Disclaimer for accuracy limits.
Presumption of innocence. A booking, charge, or news reference is an accusation only. Check the official case disposition before drawing a conclusion.
